After the succesful release, launch & east coast tour of his debut album "Night & Day" mrben is now trimming the project down to an intimate solo show performing the entire album in the acoustic format that it once was. A decision that did not come easy for Ben yet he has admitted a sigh of joy to be back where it all began & has since found himself being closer to the songs than ever before. The temptation to go back to a trio and hit the stage in full force is still there and he will be announcing that shift when it happens. For now, mrben is enjoying working on a new album yet with no "date to launch" in mind and is performing live a little less than before. mrben will be making himself known again around the music seen yet with a different approach and delivery to his live performances. keep an eye out for his acoustic shows and enjoy the amazing contrast between the "rock" filled album & the somewhat more "tamed" acoustic experience.

Latest Release

"Night & Day" is the debut release from mrben, this album is full of surprises and packed with dynamic ear candy. The album most certainly lives up to the title, dark when it wants to be and mellow when it should be, each recorded performance has it's own story to tell. Produced by Lindsay Rimes you can hear his influence across the entire album, the approach from day one was "lets make a rock record" and do it well. If your into melodic rock mixed with acoustic pop, this is definitely one for you. Track one A Memory was the first single to be released back in November 2008, followed by the second single The Last Time in 2009 which was quickly picked up by Foghorn Records, mrben were awarded a publishing deal to feature the single on the upload 3 CD compilation. Now in 2010 the third release When You're Gone will be the focus for mrben. Although the singles coming off the album are the most radio ready my favorite songs are "Murder" & "Stand" they really do grow on you after a few listens. In summary Night & Day is yet to be discovered and would have to go down as one of the most unique sounding original albums that have come out of Australia in the last 5 years....Daniel Peters.
