Most independent bands these days have their own way of selling their music via the internet. With iTunes dominating the market it has become the most popular e-tail store today. Getting your music onto iTunes can be done in many ways and you don't need to be signed to a major record label to sell your music to your fans. Ordio Productions are a multi account holder with one of Australia's leading digital aggregators. With the importance of your music being tracked via the ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) system, it is important to get this process right so you can be sure that all music sales are being managed correctly. Ask us today on how we can assist you with this process, our friendly A&R team will guide you with the right advice: indiemusic@ordioproductions.com.au

Just a friendly suggestion to anyone that is about to spend some serious dough on releasing an EP or debut album to really do some research about barcodes. It has been a very blurry and often over sighted process over the years and although it seems harmless at the time to buy a barcode from an overseas website or a local designer for $30, it can burn you big time. Imagine you go and press 3000 copies of your release all to find out that the barcode you bought also belongs to a tooth paste packet sitting in the back of a supermarket, you are then left with a product (or 3000 of them) that can not be sold or scanned in a commercial retail store. This can also effect your physical and digital distribution opportunties and will need to do a full re print of your release.
At times, some people are not sure which cable they need or even want, more times than others a retail sales person has told you to buy a particular cable because they may of thought that it would be the right one, other times there is just a little more "commission" to be made on some line items. We are here to help you make the right decision as we believe that your tone, clarity and performance is the most important thing. Below are just some standard examples of cable scenarios that may help you make the correct decision.

Whether your planning on making your own pedal board or wanting Ordio Productions to build a "perfect" rig for you, the first rule of thumb that applies to all pedal boards is space, space and more space, you can never have enough space.
1. Lay your pedals out on a piece of cardboard as if you were doing your "ultimate" live show and measure the largest "outer" area.
2. Put your favourite gig shoes on, then make sure you have enough room to move around the board and activate all your pedals.
3. Make a list of the power requirements needed for every pedal, remember the difference in AC & DC voltages and never assume.
4. Plan ahead, leave some room on the board for expansion or minor changes as you never know what you might buy next right?.
