The dBTechnologies INGENIA IG5TR is a high-output 2-way active column speaker with a 1 600 W RMS amplifier, 135.5 dB max SPL, neodymium drivers and a rotatable horn for adaptable coverage.
The dBTechnologies INGENIA IG5TR loudspeaker expands the possibilities for live and installed sound by combining advanced technology, an optimised design and high dynamic range performance with the flexibility typical of dBTechnologies’ column series. This 2-way, quad-amplified system employs beam steering and beamforming to deliver precise directivity control. Its AWG (Asymmetric Waveguide) optimises vertical coverage from 930 Hz to 20 kHz, reducing internal turbulence and improving distribution for clarity and precision.
The vertically asymmetric dispersion focuses energy where it is needed most, with +20° in the upper section and −55° in the lower section, minimising comb filtering when two IG5TR tops are head-stacked. The horn provides a vertical angle of +20° / −55° and can be rotated in +90° / 0° / −90° steps for maximum versatility.
Directivity can be shaped along the vertical axis with seven tilt steps from −10° to +10° in both standalone and coupled configurations, while two vertical beamforming options are available only in headstack mode, allowing the beam to be narrowed or widened. Beam steering shifts the acoustic beam along the vertical axis with seven selectable steps (10°, 5°, 2.5°, 0°, −2.5°, −5°, −10°) in both modes. A Class-D four-channel amplifier delivers 400 W per channel for 1 600 W RMS total, optimised for the electroacoustic chain to ensure controlled, dynamic transients.
An integrated DSP in the dBTechnologies INGENIA IG5TR with a high-brightness OLED display provides precise, real-time monitoring, RDNet enables full remote control, and 24-bit/96 kHz AD/DA conversion ensures high audio quality. Firmware updates are available via USB-C or Aurora Net. SPD (Speaker Position Detection) uses infrared to automatically recognise paired cabinets and synchronise settings, while an onboard accelerometer updates the OLED display and meters in real time to match cabinet orientation.
The DRK-IG5 configurable, reversible flybar accommodates extreme positive and negative tilt angles, the adjustable GSA-IG5 ground stack accessory aligns the column precisely with any subwoofer, and the flybar accepts fly-scaff or a C-clamp. A raincover is included for reliable performance in challenging conditions.
