While the first model was optimised for stereo operation with tightly matched channels, user demand for dual mono flexibility inspired this updated version. Each channel of the Gainlab Audio Dictator Dual Mono offers fully separate controls, allowing precise and individual parameterisation, yet the sidechain remains linkable for traditional stereo use when required.
Housed in the same compact 2U chassis, the Gainlab Audio Dictator Dual Mono retains the musical timing, vari-μ behaviour, and rich harmonic saturation of its predecessor. From smooth levelling on individual sources to bold bus compression, it can deliver subtle control or aggressive textures with ease.
Driven hard, it provides harmonically rich valve saturation, crisp transients, and unique tonal shaping options, while stepped controls ensure repeatability and consistency between sessions.
Equipped with military-grade 6k4p-EV pentodes and permalloy transformers, the Gainlab Audio Dictator Dual Mono is built to exacting standards, offering both reliability and character. With support for Session Recall software, engineers can store and recall complete setups, ensuring the unit integrates smoothly into modern hybrid studios.
