These lightweight passive designs use neodymium drivers and large horns to deliver precise pattern control, with rotatable dispersion options of 75° x 50° and 110° x 55° respectively. Both models come with a 1.4” exit compression driver. With a frequency response of 48 Hz to 18 kHz, they can be used as standalone full-range systems or paired with subwoofers from the xS-Series.
The enclosure of the d&b Audiotechnik 12S/12S-D is crafted from marine plywood with a durable black paint finish, rated Ball Impact Resistant per DIN 18032-3, suitable for schools and sports halls. A rigid metal grille backed with acoustically transparent foam protects the cabinet’s front, while the top and bottom panels have M10 threaded inserts.
The rear panel includes two M8 threaded inserts, two NL4 connectors, and a two-pole screw terminal block. The cabinets and most accessories are available with the Special Colour (SC) option for custom RAL colours. Additionally, the Weather Resistant (WR) option provides an IP55 rating, ensuring reliable performance in varying ambient conditions.
