The Harrison 32Classic MS Mix Strip is a 1U 19” analogue channel strip combining a transformer-coupled mic preamp, Hi-Z and line inputs, balanced insert point, and the iconic Harrison 32C four-band EQ with high- and low-pass filters. With mix bus routing, pan, output control, and modular summing capability, it delivers legendary Harrison console tone in a flexible mastering and mixing processor.
The Harrison 32Classic MS Mix Strip is a 1U 19” analogue processor that delivers the sought-after sound of the Harrison 32 console while adding powerful mid/side processing for modern mixing and mastering.
Designed as a versatile channel strip, it combines a transformer-coupled mic preamp, instrument and line inputs, a balanced insert point, and the legendary Harrison 32C four-band parametric EQ with high-pass and low-pass filters.
The input stage is based on the renowned Harrison 32Classic MS console preamp and includes switchable +48V phantom power, a fixed -20dB pad, polarity reverse, and a signal level LED. Microphone signals can be connected via the front or rear XLR inputs, with a dedicated switch for front-panel selection, while a Hi-Z instrument input is available on the front panel and takes priority when engaged. A separate line input is provided on the rear XLR with ±6dB trim, and a balanced insert point is available before the EQ for additional processing.
The EQ section faithfully recreates the four-band design of the original Harrison 32 console, featuring LO (40–600Hz), MID1 (200Hz–3.1kHz), MID2 (400Hz–6kHz), and HI (900Hz–13kHz) bands, each with ±10dB boost or cut and proportional-Q response.
The LO and HI bands operate as shelving filters by default but can be switched to bell mode, while the high-pass (25Hz–3.15kHz) and low-pass (160Hz–20kHz) filters provide wide-ranging frequency control. Independent in/out switches allow the EQ and filters to be engaged as required.
For routing and summing, the Harrison 32Classic MS includes output level control with a 0dB fixed setting, stereo mix bus assignment, and pan functionality. Multiple units can be linked via rear-panel summing connectors, enabling a modular approach to building a complete analogue mixing system.
One unit can serve as the master, with its mix section providing stereo bus control and output metering, while additional units expand channel count seamlessly within the same 19” rack format.
