The Harrison MR3eq is a 500 Series version of the legendary MR3 console EQ, offering three versatile parametric bands with proportional-Q, switchable shelf or bell responses, and a resonant high-pass filter, delivering the punchy, musical Harrison sound in modular format.
Harrison MR3eq 3-Band Parametric Equaliser
The Harrison MR3eq is a 500 Series recreation of the classic three-band parametric EQ from the Harrison MR3 studio console, first introduced in 1981. The Harrison MR3 console became a favourite of leading engineers and studios around the world, shaping countless iconic albums of the late 70s and 80s. Known for its punch, smooth response, and musical versatility, the MR3 EQ quickly established itself as one of Harrison’s most acclaimed designs.
Now available in a compact modular format, the Harrison MR3eq delivers the same powerful tonal shaping with three fully parametric bands and Harrison’s signature proportional-Q design. The low and high-frequency bands operate as 6 dB/octave shelves but can be switched to bell curves, while the mid-band provides a continuously variable Q for either surgical precision or broad, musical strokes. A dedicated high-pass filter with a resonant peak adds extra character, making the Harrison MR3eq equally effective for detailed corrective work or bold tonal shaping in both tracking and mixing.
