Cranborne Audio Camden EC2 is a two-channel studio front end that combines award-winning Camden preamps, Mojo analogue saturation, dual headphone mixers, and extensive connectivity in a compact 1U rackmount chassis.
Based on the acclaimed Camden 500 design, it provides two ultra-clean and transparent preamps delivering up to 68 dB of gain with exceptional low-noise and low-distortion performance.
Each channel includes Cranborne’s Mojo circuit, offering variable harmonic saturation with two distinct options: Thump, which enhances low-end harmonics, and Cream, which delivers transformer-like warmth and transient control.
In addition to preamplification, Cranborne Audio Camden EC2 features two powerful reference-grade headphone amplifiers, each with its own line mixer for zero-latency monitoring.
These allow engineers to audition microphone placements in real time and create independent artist mixes blended with DAW playback via rear-panel Aux inputs. Link outputs enable direct instrument DI reamping, adding creative flexibility for both tracking and production.
With C.A.S.T. connectivity, Cranborne Audio Camden EC2 integrates directly with Cranborne 500R8 and 500ADAT systems. A single shielded Cat 5e, Cat 6, or Cat 7 cable carries both preamp signals into the main system while returning monitor mixes to the EC2 headphone outputs, greatly simplifying live room setups.
Balanced XLR outputs, impedance-balanced jack outputs, and link outputs provide versatile studio integration, while the external high-current 24 V supply ensures reliable and stable operation.
