Dynaudio Delta 40 DSP is a processing and network audio amplifier built on the Delta series philosophy of reliability, trust, and transparent amplification. The design focus is to ensure that audio entering the system is reproduced exactly as intended, while providing the power and processing tools required for complex professional monitoring and installation systems.
In a 2U rack format, Dynaudio Delta 40 DSP delivers substantial output power, producing up to 1000W per channel into 4 ohms, or up to 2400W when channels are bridged. Despite this level of output, the amplifier maintains low distortion and noise performance, with THD measured at less than 0.18 percent at 1kHz. This balance of power and control makes it suitable for multi-way monitoring systems and demanding fixed installations.
Dynaudio Delta 40 DSP supports up to four channels of audio, selectable individually between analogue, AES, and Dante network audio sources. When operating over Dante, audio is converted using high-quality 24-bit, 96kHz digital-to-analogue converters, with processing carried out at 96kHz throughout. This ensures consistent signal quality across both analogue and networked audio workflows.
Beyond amplification, Dynaudio Delta 40 DSP integrates comprehensive digital signal processing for system tuning and optimisation. The onboard DSP includes three dynamic EQ bands and eight static EQ bands per input channel, nine static EQ bands per output, and a wide range of additional filter types. Advanced crossover filters, delays, RMS and look-ahead peak limiters, and FIR processing allow precise control of complex loudspeaker systems without the need for external processors.
System control and integration are further enhanced through wireless operation using the DeltaDirect iPad app, GPIO for remote control and monitoring, and redundant back-up amplifier inputs for increased reliability. For streamlined system design, Dynaudio Delta 40 DSP can be connected directly to other Delta DSP amplifiers using a single Cat 5 cable, reducing cabling complexity and simplifying installation.
